ACCREDITATIONS, APPROVALS AND RESULTS INTEGRITY
Foodtest are an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory which means that for the tests indicated on our UKAS schedule the reported results are accepted worldwide.
Foodtest uses The United Kingdom Accreditation Service as its preferred organisation for accreditation to the ISO 17025 Standard and as such UKAS ensures that we meet the requirements of this standard on an ongoing basis.
The Tesco Laboratory Approval Service was introduced in 2010 and Foodtest gained TLAS approval in the first year and continues to hold Green status.
To ensure that reported results are reliable requires having a dedicated quality system in place which ensures that all aspects of the testing process from sample collection, through receipt, administration, analytical testing and reporting are controlled and monitored on an ongoing basis.
This involves the use of internal audits, testing of externally sourced ‘EQA’ samples, duplicate testing, known result testing, statistical analysis of results and trend analysis. This gives us and more importantly the customer, confidence in the results produced and reported.
